In 2019, WVU was named a bronze-level Bicycle-Friendly UniversitySM by the League of American Bicyclists. The City of Morgantown also was named a bronze-level Bicycle-Friendly Community SM .
WVU is among 208 colleges and universities in 47 states and the District of Columbia that received the bicycle-friendly designation, and the University is the only academic institution in West Virginia to be recognized.
Beyond our campus, the Rail-Trail is a great way to explore Morgantown and the surrounding area by bike. And our state is home to several exciting and family-friendly mountain biking trails—from beginning and intermediate levels to advanced levels.
